Channeling Kathy Halbreich
Description
Using my companion’s face I attempted to paint a portrait of another person (Kathy Halbreich) who was the director of the Walker Art Center at that time around 1996 , we had an active correspondence and I thought I could make a portrait by memory and by mimicking her appearances. The portrait was exhibited at the James J. Hill Mansion gallery in an exhibition of portraits of women.
