Description
James visited us in the fall of 2019. He was a visiting artist at MCAD in the early 1980’s I have known him since then . I stayed with him on his pony ranch in 1999 just before I did a huge portrait exhibition at the Minneapolis Institute of Art. We are now both older gentlemen trying to enjoy our older incarnations. I painted Jim’s hat first and inserted the snowman after he left town.
